Slam Poet champion visits

Slam poet champion and culture journalist, Clara Rose Thornton visited our school to host a number of workshops, talks and performances over the course of a very busy day. Students were delighted with the chance to work with the Chicago-born poet, who brought poetry to life through her performances and got students to produce very engaging work. The central workshop was with our Leaving Cert Applied students.

Clara Rose will return later this term to conduct workshops on our sister school in South Africa. This project called Sister Cities will look at cultural awareness, crosscultural relatability, and awareness of various types of privilege and is part of our Worldwise Global Schools programme
