School Closure

Statement by An Taoiseach- March 12th:

The following measures will come into effect from tomorrow until further notice:

  • School activities will cease at 6.00 pm today, Thursday, 12 March 2020 schools, colleges and childcare facilities will close from tomorrow (Friday)
  • Indoor mass gatherings of 100 people or more and outdoor mass gatherings of more than 500 people should be cancelled
  • All State-run cultural institutions will close
  • Public transport will continue and shops will continue to remain open

 

As a school, we have been preparing students for this closure for a number of weeks now and they have received the advice of their teachers and principals/deputy principals on learning from home.  The school will do all it can to ensure that disruption to students will be minimal once schools re-open. Further information will be posted on our website and relayed via text messages.
