Christmas 2020 Round Up

In the run up to Christmas 2020, a number of events occurred in the school.

  • Transition Year students made a presentation to members of Sodexo staff as a show of appreciation for their efforts in providing a safe school environment during the past academic term.
  • First Year German  Students  presented their Christmas boots which  they painted and decorated themselves. According to German tradition on the 6th of December Saint  Nicholas fills the childrens'  boots and shoes with sweets if they have been good during the year. Children who have not been  good receive a lump of coal which is left by "Knecht Ruprecht".
  • Others in the school collected food donations from students and teachers which allowed them to make over 50 food hampers which were donated between Abbeyfeale and Athea St. Vincent de Paul Food Appeal.
  • While in 1st and 2nd year Wood Technology, students made a number of Festive pieces.
