Charity and Community Spirit in Coláiste Íde Agus Iosef

Second  level students in Abbeyfeale have engaged with the true meaning of Christmas this year.

Over the past few weeks 5th year Home Economics students, together with the generosity of the school community of Coláiste Íde agus Iosef participated in a major food appeal, to help the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

The students, along with their teacher Mrs Meade, prepared 57 fabulous yet practical Christmas Food Hampers which they donated to the charity last week. These will no doubt become a welcomed gift for underprivileged families this Christmas time.

The students collected an abundant amount of food items for the hampers throughout the month of November from the staff and students of Coláiste Íde agus Iosef. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone, including local shops for their generous donations and we hope to continue this tradition for many years to come.
